Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of EntgenTech (entgentech.com and the EntgenTech app, together "the service"), run by EntgenTech ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Who can use the service

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• An account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself; you're responsible for what happens under your account.
• Use a real email address you can receive mail at. We use it to verify your account, reset your password and send purchase confirmations.

Free and paid features

• Free: generating and scoring startup ideas, up to 3 a day. Each credit you buy also includes 5 ideas for when the free ones are used up. These ideas don't expire and stay when the credit itself is used, but are removed if the purchase is refunded. The welcome credit doesn't include ideas.
• Paid: everything else, unlocked with credits. One credit unlocks every paid tool for one idea: investor materials, the investor memo, financial model and pitch deck, Credit Finder and the Deep Market Test.
• Credits are sold in packs, priced in US dollars at checkout. Purchased credits expire 90 days after purchase; the welcome credit for new accounts expires after 30 days. Credits have no cash value and can't be transferred to another account.
• We may change prices for future purchases. A change never affects credits you have already bought.
• Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy.

AI-generated content is not professional advice

Ideas, scores, reports and documents are generated by AI models. They can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and they are a starting point for your own judgement, not a substitute for it.

• Scores are estimates, not predictions of whether a business will succeed.
• Nothing the service produces is financial, investment, legal, tax or accounting advice. Talk to a qualified professional before you rely on it for a decision.
• Market tests use simulated customer personas. They are not surveys of real people.
• Credit Finder lists funding options found in public information. We are not a lender, broker or adviser and don't arrange funding. Check eligibility, terms and deadlines with each provider yourself. Sponsored listings are labelled "Sponsored" and shown apart from your matched results.
• Financial models and pitch documents are drafts. Check every number before you share them with anyone, including investors.

Your content

• What you enter (your profile and your ideas) and what the service generates for you are yours to use as you like.
• You let us store and process that content to run the service, including sending it to the service providers listed in our Privacy Policy.
• Only enter information you have the right to share. Don't enter other people's confidential information.
• AI output is not unique: other users may receive similar ideas or text.

Acceptable use

Please don't:

• use the service for anything unlawful, or to create content meant to deceive or defraud anyone;
• try to get around usage limits or payments, for example by opening extra accounts for more free credits;
• probe, overload or break the service's security, or access it through scripts or automated tools;
• copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.

Availability and changes

The service is in public beta. We may add, change or remove features, and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. If a paid tool fails partway through, the credit stays with that idea and you can run it again at no extra charge.

Suspension and closing your account

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. You can delete your account at any time from the app (see the Privacy Policy); unused credits are lost when you do, so request any refund you're entitled to first.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for business, investment or funding decisions made using the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, and disputes go to the courts of Panama, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top of this page; for material changes we'll also tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the new terms.
